How does fluoride treatment work?

  • application of fluoride cream into special trays
  • placement of the trays on the upper and lower dental arches
  • the preparation is left to work for approximately 10 minutes
  • after the treatment, patients are advised not to eat or drink for about 30 minutes

Although toothpastes contain fluoride, regular in-office fluoride treatment is especially recommended for children during preventive check-ups. It is a gentle, quick and completely painless procedure.

After the application, the patient spits out the cream without rinsing the mouth, allowing the fluoride to act on the tooth enamel for the maximum effect.
