Knocked-Out Tooth – What Should I Do With It?
If a tooth has been knocked out, pick it up as quickly as possible. Rinse the tooth gently with lukewarm water and, if the root is dirty, carefully clean it. Do not scrub the tooth or use any instruments, as this could damage or remove any remaining tissue.
If possible, place the tooth back into its socket in the same position it was in before the injury. Alternatively, place the tooth in a container of lukewarm water and seek dental treatment immediately. The dentist will assess the tooth and determine the appropriate course of treatment.
