Prevention of Tooth Decay
The prevention of tooth decay relies primarily on the thorough and repeated removal of dental plaque by brushing the teeth regularly using the correct technique at least twice a day, including cleaning between the teeth with interdental brushes.
It is also important to limit the consumption of sweets. If you occasionally cannot resist them, brush your teeth after eating sweets or at least chew sugar-free chewing gum after a meal. Fluorides also play an important role in preventing tooth decay, as they help strengthen tooth enamel.
Last but not least, it is important to visit a dentist and dental hygienist regularly for professional dental hygiene, ideally at least once every six months.
